Cooking for Your Kidneys Featuring Chef John Vito

Renal dieticians…join us for this class and cooking demonstration featuring Chef John Vito!  

Renal dieticians are often faced with the challenges of helping patients manage the kidney diet, while patients often struggle to maintain the strict guidelines. Chef Vito, having been a dialysis patient and now a transplant recipient, understands the struggle of following the kidney diet while also enjoying flavorful food. During this segment he will provide a cooking demonstration and commentary that will help dieticians with kidney friendly and tasty recipes.

Chef Vito is a restaurateur, former dialysis patient and now a kidney transplant recipient. He has an in depth understanding of food science and how it applies to the kidney diet. He has spoken for CRN’s in Western New York and Pittsburgh. He is the author of the book “Cooking for Your Kidneys.” He is also the recipient of a Kidney X Innovation Award.
