Cooking for Your Kidneys Featuring Chef John Vito

We all know that the kidney diet can be challenging to navigate, but with a few tips from someone in the know, it doesn’t have to be! It can be fun, nutritious and delicous all at the same time. Join us on July 1 for the kickoff of our new series ‘Cooking for your Kidneys, featuring Chef John Vito’. He will provide an interactive talk and demonstration featuring a recipe for home made applesauce, using every part of the apple, first to make applesauce and then to make a healthy and kidney friendly summer drink! In addition to the demonstration, we will also provide a free copy of Chef Vito’s cookbook “Cooking for Your Kidneys” to the first 20 registrants.

Why is Chef Vito in the know? He is a chef, restauranter, former dialysis patient and a kidney transplant recipient! His recipies are based on nutrition and food science with a deep understanding of the kidney diet, while always bringing out the flavor!
